and I'm already thinking a 'Busa Swap would be interesting.

I have a deposit on one! Have for almost a year.
I'm thinking more along the lines of a turbo.

A turbo 3 cyl? might be interesting.

Would make for an entertaining Obit.

I'm still betting they will never be made at least not in large numbers. this is a great idea like Tesla without the dot com cash behind it.

Basically thinking this all over again! These were kind of cool/fun/peppy little commuters back in the day.

Maybe. If they don't make it here, i at least hope they find a home in emerging markets. it seems like every time something like this comes along they go belly up because gas prices take a nose dive and then Americans start driving the biggest cars possible again.....until gas prices soar, then the demand something like this....so on and so forth the cycle repeats.

Suzuki Swift? metro turbo? Interesting because the prototype I sat in had a Metro engine.

I forgot if this one is FWD or not.

It is. They're basically rebuilding/modernizing the early 90s Metro drivetrain and shoving it up there. Lots of problems though, they still don't even have a prototype engine, just CAD stuff and an extremely rough casting. All of the mules are using old 90s drivetrains pulled from donors.

Well, the prototype was rolling under it's own steam when I saw it. We'll see though, I guess.

Man. I should've gone to see it while I was at the Miramar Air Show. I want one!

Still on a donor drivetrain though. The new castings just in the last couple months came out and not from a production level supplier. I'm watching them like a hawk to see if I want to jump in. Bunch of hurdles they still need jump before I'll bite, but I'm wishing them luck.

Same here. It would be the perfect commuter dd for me.
